An advanced price improvement process that utilizes LiquidPoint’s proprietary technologies, NXP™ offers a combination of business rules and technologies that provide increased liquidity and potential price improvement opportunities to both buy-side and sell-side customers.

NXP leverages LiquidPoint’s extensive and diverse order flow, its vast network of liquidity providers and long history of providing price improvement opportunities. NXP allows liquidity providers to update “not-held” orders residing on LiquidPoint’s servers based upon user-specific parameters. When customers choose algorithmic routing, LiquidPoint considers these server orders along with quotes from the exchanges.

If the parameters on the server, match with a customer order, LiquidPoint routes this contra with the original order as a package to an exchange auction facility where there are additional opportunities for price improvement. If there is not a match with an order resting on the server, then the order is routed to exchanges based upon existing routing logic. Customer orders are not slowed down or “dis-intermediated” in any way by NXP.
